- Type

Lathyrus Vicia returns species from both genera.
Lathyrus +"List 4" returns only those Lathyrus on List 4. Note the "+".
- Words meant to be searched as a unit should be wrapped in quotes, e.g.,
"List 2".
- Word fragments must be completed with a wildcard, e.g.,
Bras* for the family Brassicaceae.
- Type
01 00 99, to search for taxa that appeared in 2001 or 2000 or 1999. They will be listed in order of frequency of appearance.
- The second column in the search summary is the frequency of hits within the record, usually only "1".
- Having trouble with a multi-word search? Try a single word, e.g.
ginger or cobra.
